How Do You Say...'Delicious' in Japanese? Part 2

by Tom Hanks

The next two days seemed to drag by ever so slowly, but we had worked so hard as several 5-ton trucks were emptied in the warehouse, which brought mail from the shipyard that was being shipped to our boys in Vietnam.

I took the shuttle to billeting where I lived for a shower before Sahi arrived. I had packed everything I was going to take with me for the weekend, the night before. However, Sahi arrived shortly after I did. I explained that I needed a shower and asked if we had time? Sahi said, "Bill, actually we have more than one-half hour drive and dinner will be ready. My mother insists everyone is ready to dine when dinner is served."

I don't know if I frowned or not. Nevertheless, Sahi seemed to read my mind or saw my concern and said, "Not to worry, Bill, we have prepared a Japanese bath for your enjoyment. You will love it…I am certain of it."

How could I refuse such a beautiful guy and an equally beautiful invitation? So I agreed, "Fine then. Let's be on our way."

As we arrived, it was out in the country, back in some of the most beautiful woods I have seem. The trees were lush and green, the sky blue and everything seemed perfect. One glance at this home and I knew they were a family of financial means. Land is scarce in Japan and these folks had what looked like a couple acres. Their home was huge and wonderful decorated with both western (American) and Japanese decorum.

We were greeted very warmly upon arrival. You would have thought I was a long, lost relative and they were especially glad to see me. I had taken gifts to my host and hostess, as is the Japanese custom, when you are invited into their home; you carry a gift.

After the appropriate introductions and all the bowing, as is also the custom, a form of respect, Sahi went with me and showed me where 'we'd be sleeping.' It was both cozy and very inviting. A tatomi (a downing-filled type mattress with beautiful comforters, flowers and Japanese music was playing softly in the background.

As Sahi led the way, we washed up for dinner. The family had prepared Sukiyaki pronounced, "Ski-yaki" and it was wonderful, I mean, it seemed to melt in your mouth.

The Japanese are very sociable and the meal was no different. There were many 'common' dishes that were quite large and full of food. I am sure for my benefit...a type of smorgasbord to introduce me to the many dishes of Japanese food.

We sat around and talked. I didn't need an interpreter as the family spoke wonderful English. We sat and smoked and enjoyed some rich wine or Saki as they call it. It is probably between 180 and 200 + proof and a small bottle of this will put the largest, most muscular guy on his butt!

At about 138, I was feeling no pain and Sahi sensed this... So he spoke something in Japanese, which sounded like he was scolding his father for giving me too much (But, this couldn't be...the younger have the greatest respect for their parents and the elderly.)

At any rate, I was showed to their Japanese bath, which by the way, only houses a very large wooden tub…and so help me God, I think I saw this hot water...bubbling! It was long enough for the average American deep enough to cover my shoulders with I sat.

As I got in, it almost took my breath away. Sahi excused himself as I got undressed and got in. He returned shortly with large towels and a kimono for me to put on and an obi or sash that wrapped around my waist; to keep it closed while I relaxed (I would soon learn)

It was one of the sweetest, if not the sweetest and most relaxing baths I had ever experienced or have since. I felt like my legs had gone rubber…but the aching muscles in my back and legs from all the earlier lifting at work had all disappeared.. It was awesome!

As we sat and visited for quite sometime, I was served lemon tea and some homemade cake before retiring for the evening. I was sure to give my appreciation for their hospitality and left the room, shortly returning with gifts. The florist had advised me on what kind of flowers as well as what color wrap I was to use. I bought tobacco for Otosan or 'father' and for Sahi, not wanting to be too pretentious, I gave him some American candy, but once we were in our room, I gave him some cologne.

Shortly after the gifts were given, the warm acknowledgements and thank you’s were exchanged, we retired for the might. Sahi and I returned to our room. This people must eat all the time. There was a small tray between our beds with cookies, fruit and more lemon tea.

I asked Sahi if I might not sleep in the kimono, as I was very hot natured and I would sweat and burn up. He agreed. Once I was comfortable. I reached over and give him a very warm hug. He was surprised, but never pulled away. We looked at pictures where he worked on his sailboat and wow! The trunks he wore in those pictures were form fitting and...like I said, "Wow!" Whoever said the Japanese are built 'small' ...well...unlike me, they had never met Sahi...

His body was quite muscular and hard, like he worked out all the time. He had the cutest, tight butt, but his manhood was very nice ...very nice indeed! One might say, he was 'heavy hung!' When I looked at his picture and I made it a point to stare at him in his swim trunks and remarked, "Very nice Sahi!" Very nice, indeed!"

Sahi and I became very good friends and we managed to be together whenever we could steal the time. Talk about a kisser? He was quite a kisser! Hell, everything Sahi did...was impeccable! I just love how 'delicious' this one Japanese guy was...and so was our friendship.

Life With My Granny

I have fond memories of my granny. She was such a caring and gentle soul. She was an avid reader of the Bible and Church was life to her. Granny had a heart as big as her house. The Box Next Door

(A fantasy story that could happen) Henry was born in rural South Carolina. He and his friend Sam were next door neighbors, and Henry was more than curious about Sam. At any rate, there were few houses built at the time and the place was mostly

The waterhole was wonderful and time, I thought had stopped, but it hadn't. In fact, judging by the darkness of the sky, it was later afternoon and I just knew a hickory was awaiting my butt.
